Ammons Pittman REALTORS® was conceived in 1976, after months of planning by Raleigh home builder and developer Jud Ammons and mortgage loan officer George Pittman. These two set out to build a professional real estate company, and they worked to get quality people on their team – people interested in helping others and bettering themselves. Two words summed up the company’s foundation back then just as they do today: honesty and integrity.
Expertise
George Pittman is a former President of the Raleigh Board of REALTORS®, and has served on or chaired its Professional Standards Committee over the course of many terms. In December 2006, Ross Rhudy became COO, General Manager and partner in the company. Rhudy has a 23 year career in residential real estate sales and management in the triangle and most recently in Charleston South Carolina. Both Mr. Pittman and Mr. Rhudy are former presidents of the Raleigh Board of REALTORS® , and both have received the prestigious “Realtor of the Year” award as voted on by their peers.
The Company Today
Today, Ammons Pittman consists of offices in Raleigh, Wake Forest, Apex, Knightdale and Franklin County, with a total of approximately 90 agents. Although the company’s goal has never been to see just how large it could get, Ammons Pittman has consistently been one of the largest real estate companies in the area based on sales and listings, dollar volume, and number of sales people. This success has been achieved through the work of many dedicated agents and employees.
Several departments within Ammons Pittman collaborate to keep the company in a position of leadership. Divisions in New Homes, Corporate Relocation and Property Management work in partnership with the general brokerage sales offices throughout Wake and Franklin Counties. Graphics and technical personnel assist these departments and the agents within the various offices. Providing customers with professional and personalized service has always been a primary goal of the company.
Affiliation with GMAC Real Estate
In 2001, the company affiliated with GMAC Real Estate. This partnership has allowed the company to be highly competitive in the marketplace, with additional tools and technology. The company promotes Premier Service, a business philosophy as well as a marketing system to differentiate themselves from the competition, and demonstrate quality service from the beginning to the end of the transaction.
